How to Apply For a Charitable Gaming License
To qualify for a gaming license, charitable organizations must:
- be exempt from paying federal income tax, and
- have held tax-exempt status for a period of at least one year, and
- have been engaged primarily in their charitable, fraternal, or religious purpose during this period.
California online casinos allow players between 18 and 21 (depends on the casino), while interactive forms of gambling only allow players aged 21 and over. All forms of gambling in the state are regulated by the California Gambling Control Commission and the Bureau of Gambling Control. California is one of nine states exploring legalized sports betting in 2020, according to the American Gaming Association, a lobbyist group that represents the U.S. Casino industry.
